At 21, I bought a multi-tracks synthesizer which allowed me to write more elaborated songs with beats, sounds and melodies. This period lasted for about three years...
In 1999, as I wanted to buy isan’s album ‘beautronics’, I contacted the boss of the tugboat label ‘Glen Johnson” for getting the record. At the same time, I sent him a tape of my compositions. He gave me a kind answer and asked me to send further tracks...
That’s what I did, and he enjoyed the second tape and gave it to a friend label ‘static caravan’, who released my 7" called 'rhythmi' only based on my tape recordings with a little mastering...
Encouraged by my first release, I bought a computer at the end of 1999 and this was so great, creating sounds became so easy. At that period, I was also in contact with active suspension for another 7’’ that should be released later in 2001. After my first 7’’ on static caravan, Salvo Pinzone from disastersbychoice in Italia offered me to release a complete album. It was composed during my military service, in a very small room, and is a kind of ambient record with acoustic guitar and synthesizer...
After my second release with static caravan (silica), two guys from Rennes went to meet me in Nantes, we had a drink at the ‘place du commerce’, and they told me they had bought my ‘silica’ record in London and wanted to do an album with me (a possible way for spending time)...
I kept contact with all those labels and made several releases with some of them. As I was a great fan of audiodregs, I sent them a kind of compilation of unreleased tracks that never came out, I sent them later a new demo that was my ‘anaemia’ album...
In 2002, I met stephane who runs the webzine ‘autres directions’ for an interview in Nantes, we became friends, when he told me he intended to create his own label ‘autres directions in music’, I said I was OK for mp3 releases. Then we released my most personal album to date ‘la tete qui flotte'...
